MSBL sign Memphis Big Man Mike Parks Jr

The ID Athletic Perry Lakes Hawks are proud to announce the signing of 6’9 Big Man Mike Parks Jr for the 2020 MSBL Season

Parks Jr joins the Hawks from Cleveland Ohio and the University of Memphis, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1 which competes in the American Athletic Conference currently coached by NBA legend Penny Hardaway.

Parks Jr who was recently drafted into the NBA G League by the Raptors 905 in the 3rd Round at pick 21, is excited to join the Hawks and kick off his international professional career.

“I’m very excited to sign at Perry Lakes this season, it’s a fresh start for me and it’s going to be a great environment to develop my game.” Parks Jr is also excited to arrive in Perth “Perth looks a great City and very similar to America in some ways, so I’m excited for that.”

Hawks Head Coach Matt Parsons was extremely happy that the big man had put pen to paper “Park’s Jr is the exact type of player we feel will fit into our program both with his presence on the floor but more importantly off the court. Mike is an exciting personality who is going to bring some great excitement around the club, he will really grow into a fan favourite as the season goes on.”

“We have had our eyes on Parks Jr for a awhile, we liked his size and strength but also his motor and we really feel his game will suit what we are trying to do this season” Parsons added

As for what Mike will bring himself “Someone who will compete from paint to the 3pt line and add to the winning culture of the Hawks”.
