Rob Cassir 300 Game Milestone

Coach Parsons had this to say about his Co-Captain;

‘Rob is one of the all-time greats of not only the Perry Lakes Hawks but also the NBL1/SBL. He has defied the odds to play 300 games. He is a warrior and his commitment to his art is second to none. A 2-time championship winning player and co-captain he has made a name for himself as a defensive specialist and a swiss army knife of a player. He is a huge part of our culture, a stand-up bloke, and a great ambassador for our club . Congratulations Rob on an amazing achievement’.

Co-Captain Ben Purser shares some words on Rob;

‘Robbie is an absolute warrior. One of the fiercest competitors I have come across on the court yet the most gentle, friendly and genuine person off the court.

It’s been a privilege going to battle with and against Robbie over the years. From a young, athletic specimen, who could do the splits and windmill dunk, to a savvy veteran who I’m pretty sure can still do the splits and is one of the most cerebral players to ever play in this league.

After being told he might never play basketball again due to a series of chronic knee injuries… in a display of vintage Robbie Cas stubbornness, he elected to say no to the suggested surgery and play another 5 years of quality hoops (with plenty more of his beloved scrimmages left in the tank). Not just a Hawkies legend. But a legend in life! “

Congratulations Rob on this outstanding achievement!
