ABOUT
Hawks will be implementing their inaugural summer competition in term 1 2027. The season will take place over 9 weeks, including a finals weekend in which all teams will be involved.
All games to be played at Bendat Basketball Centre and Lords Recreation Centre.
All registered teams will be provided further competition information through their team manager once team registrations have closed.
COMPETITION DATES
The Term 1 Competition will run from:
5/6 February 2027 – 9/10 April 2027
*No games will be played across the Easter long weekend
REGISTRATIONS

Registrations close 15th November.
Places are limited, so teams are encouraged to register and finalise their player registrations as soon as possible.
Team Managers are responsible for registering their team and ensuring all players register using the PlayHQ “Participant to Team” link provided.
All teams must have a registered Team Manager and Coach.
Hawks will not be assisting with team formation and cannot accept individual player registrations. Players will need to organise a team before registering.

Playing days and venues are subject to change depending on team numbers and court availability.
UNIFORMS
Uniforms must include matching team jerseys with playing numbers on the front and back, and pocketless plain black sports shorts.
Black Hawks Shorts can be purchased from the HAWKS SHOP
Teams are required to source their own uniforms. Uniforms will not be provided by Hawks.
WABL PLAYER RESTRICTIONS
The Summer Social Competition will follow the same WABL player restrictions as the 2026 Winter Junior Domestic Competition.
Each division has a permitted WABL points limit. Player points will be calculated using their 2026 WABL team placements.

DIVISION NOMINATIONS AND GRADING
Teams must nominate two division preferences when registering. Following the close of registrations, teams will be allocated to divisions based on their nominations.
Due to the shorter season, there will be no grading games.
Final division allocations and any in-season regrading will be at the discretion of the Competitions and Programs Manager.
Requests for grading, byes or game times will not be accepted.
