2026 WABL/State Champs Trials

IMPORTANT – UPDATED ID CAMP AND WABL TRIAL SCHEDULE

Due to changes in court availability, some ID Camp and WABL trial dates and times have changed from the schedule previously published.

Please disregard any earlier schedules and carefully check your child’s age group, date and time in the updated information below.

PLEASE NOTE NO ID CAMP FOR U17s. New and external U17 Boys and U17 Girls players may register directly for WABL trials.

We strongly recommend checking the schedule again before attending to ensure your child does not miss their correct session.

ID CAMPS FOR 2026/27 WABL TRIALS (DOMESTIC/EXTERNAL WABL PLAYERS ONLY)

Spaces are limited & age groups will be capped – register early to avoid disappointment
There is no waitlist.

Our Junior Hawks ID Camps are for all new players who did not play within the Hawks WABL program in 2026 (current 2026 Hawks WABL players do not attend).

It is compulsory to attend these sessions to be eligible for Hawks WABL trials irrespective of playing WABL at another club in 2026 or not.

Following ID Camp, all successful players will be emailed an invitation and registration link for 2026/27 Hawks WABL trials.

Key info:

  • All players will need to sign in prior to going to the courts (please follow instructions our volunteers give you)
  • NO PARENTS or GUARDIANS will be allowed into the court area. You may wait in the café or drop off / pick up.
  • Successful players will be emailed an invitation and registration link for the 2026/27 Hawks WABL trials.
  • Players will be assessed against the WABL selection criteria by a coaching panel led by the PLHBA Basketball High Performance Manager/s.
  • Feedback will not be provided to unsuccessful players.

2026/27 WABL TRIALS

The following tryout dates are only available to 2026 Perry Lakes Hawks WABL players and players invited following the ID Camp.

Players should attend all scheduled sessions to be considered for team selection. All trials will be held at Bendat Basketball Centre.

  • Please only register now if your child is a returning 2026 Hawks WABL player or a new/external U17 Boys, U17 Girls, U19 Boys or U20 Girls player.
  • Players selected through the ID Camps must register once their invitation has been received.
  • Players selected in the U11-U15 age groups must play in the PLHBA Junior Domestic Competition or Junior Development League to remain eligible for the Hawks WABL program.

2026 State championships

Please check your age group and division carefully when confirming your State Championships weekend. State Championships will be held at Bendat & Warwick.

14-15 November 2026 – State Titles – All Championship Divisions across all age groups

21-22 November 2026 – U13 Girls & U15 Boys – Divisions 2-5 

28-29 November 2026 – U13 Boys & U17 Boys – Divisions 2-5

5-6 December 2026 – U11 Boys, U17 Girls & U19 Boys – Divisions 2-5

12-13 December 2026 – U11 Girls, U15 Girls & U20 Girls – Divisions 2-5
