PERRY LAKES HAWKS JUNIOR COMPETITION 

Our 2026 Perry Lakes Hawks Junior Domestic Competition will commence on 20th/21st of March 2026  through to 11th/12th of September 2026.

All players must be registered with one of our 6 Junior Domestic Clubs to play in this competition. All club details can be found here.

All Junior Domestic Clubs open their returning player registrations first once these players have registered, to others if they have available positions.

CENTRAL WAIT LIST FOR NEW PLAYERS

In consultation with our Junior Domestic Clubs we have again set up a central wait list for new players for the 2026 season. This cuts out players registering on a wait list for more than one club and will help with filling teams efficiently.

This wait list will  IS NOW OPEN – Please note this does not guarantee you a position in a team.

The Junior Domestic Clubs may be in touch with you in mid February 2026 , once their returning players have registered, if they can accommodate. Unsuccessful players will NOT  however be contacted.

This competition is very popular and any spare places in teams are filled quickly.

Junior Domestic Competition Information

  • Venues include:

  • Friday Divisions (4:30 pm – 9:30 pm):
    • U16M / U16F
    • U18M / U18F
  • Saturday Divisions 7:30 am – 6:30 pm):
    • MBM / MBF
    • U10M / U10F
    • U12M / U12F
    • U14M / U14F

Please note, this is subject to team nominations, court availability and venue exclusion dates. If court space is an issue on Friday night, the youngest age group and lowest division will be the first to move from Friday to Saturday i.e. U16M C1 & C2 or U16F B.

PLHBA acknowledges that many players are involved in multiple sports. However, the association’s primary objective is to maximise participation in basketball. By updating court allocations from previous years, the association now has access to a greater number of courts, which in turn allows more teams to take part in the competition.

Domestic clubs are requested to remind their players and coaches that fixtures will not be altered to accommodate personal circumstances, other sporting commitments, or competitions run by other basketball associations.

U8’s First Steps Development Program – Tuesday afternoons  – YEAR 2 ONLY

These sessions are open to players who are 7 years of age and not turning 8 until after 30th June 2026 (year 2) and are held each Tuesday between 4.15pm and 6.00pm (2 time slots).

They comprise a 50 minute time slot made up of skills & drills , supervised by our NBL1 Players and coaches from the Junior Domestic Clubs, concluding with a short game.

Any player interested needs to register with a Junior Domestic Club and as per above, the Junior Domestic Club will place the player in a team. Teams are capped for this competition so register your interest with the Junior Domestic Clubs early.

These sessions commence on Tuesday 12th of May 2026 through to and including Tuesday 30th of June and re-commence Tuesday 21st of July through to Tuesday 25th of August 2026
