Hawks Launch Inaugural Term 1 Summer Competition

Perry Lakes Hawks are excited to announce the launch of our inaugural Term 1 Summer Competition, giving junior teams the opportunity to take to the court across the beginning of the 2027 season.

Running across nine weeks from February to April, the Summer Competition will provide teams with regular competition games before wrapping up with a finals weekend, with all teams involved.

Competition Details

📅 5/6 February – 9/10 April 2027
📍 Bendat Basketball Centre & Lords Recreation Centre
🏀 Under 10 | Under 12 | Under 14 | Under 16 | Under 18

The proposed playing days are Fridays for the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 competitions, with Under 10 and Under 12 games scheduled for Saturdays.

Playing days and venues are subject to change depending on team numbers and court availability.

Registrations Open Soon

Registrations open Monday 12 October at 9:30am, with places limited across each competition.

Teams are encouraged to get organised early and finalise their registrations as soon as possible to secure their place.

Teams must organise their own players prior to registering, with Hawks unable to facilitate team formation or accept individual player registrations. Each team must also have a registered Team Manager and Coach.

A Summer of Basketball

The Summer Competition is designed to provide junior teams with an opportunity to continue playing competitive basketball during Term 1 in a structured Hawks competition.

With all teams progressing to finals weekend, there will be plenty to play for throughout the season.

Teams will nominate two preferred divisions when registering, with final division allocations determined following the close of registrations. Due to the shorter competition format, there will be no grading games.

The competition will also operate under WABL player restrictions, with further information available in the competition guidelines.

Get Your Team Ready

If your team is ready for a summer of basketball, start getting organised now.

Registrations open Monday 12 October at 9:30am via PlayHQ.

For full information about competition fees, WABL restrictions, uniforms, playing days and registration requirements, please refer to the Term 1 Summer Competition information or contact Kyle at compsmanager@hawksbasketball.com.au.

No games will be played across the Easter long weekend.
