Perry Lakes Hawks appoints Mia Walter to Administration Officer role
The Perry Lakes Hawks are pleased to announce the appointment of Mia Walter as Administration Officer.
Mia has become increasingly involved with the Hawks throughout 2026, supporting NBL1 game-day operations, community engagement and social media content.
She brings experience across administration, customer service, events, merchandising and grassroots basketball, with involvement spanning players, coaches, officials, volunteers and community programs.
Mia is currently completing a Diploma of Sports Business through the West Coast Eagles and Edith Cowan University, while also gaining practical industry experience with the West Coast Eagles across AFL match days, events, community engagement, athlete sports training and social media content creation. Mia is also a Content Creation Intern at the Perth Lynx.
Her basketball experience includes involvement with the Esperance Basketball Association since 2017 as a Junior Basketball Umpire Coordinator, Level 1 referee, Talent Development Assistant Coach, Aussie Hoops assistant coach and game-day volunteer.
She has also been selected for the Seattle Storm Academy, participated in the Basketball WA Emerging Female Referee Development Program and received a Basketball Australia She Hoops Leadership & Confidence Scholarship.
In her role, Mia will be working in general administration, customer service, court and venue bookings, merchandise and stock management, WABL support, event logistics and NBL1 game-night preparation.
She will also work closely with the Association’s Marketing & Media Manager Sienna Hamersley to support events, merchandise and association activities.

Perry Lakes Hawks appoints Sienna Hamersley to Media and Marketing Manager role
Perry Lakes Hawks are pleased to announce the appointment of Sienna Hamersley as Media and Marketing Manager.
Sienna joins Perry Lakes with a strong background in sports marketing, digital communications, content creation, campaign delivery, website management, graphic design and audience engagement.
She brings valuable sports marketing experience to the association, including her work as Marketing Coordinator at the Australian Sports Commission.
She brings experience across the planning and delivery of national marketing campaigns promoting participation in sport and community engagement. Her work has included social media campaigns, event planning and website design.
Her experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Design (Digital Experience and Interaction Design) from Curtin University, providing a strong foundation in user experience, user interface design and creating engaging online experiences.
In the role, Sienna will lead marketing and communications activities across Perry Lakes Hawks Basketball Association, including community basketball, WABL, NBL1 West, development programs, events, partnerships and association initiatives.
She will work closely with the associations basketball department to showcase stories of Hawks players, coaches and programs across NBL1, WABL, domestic basketball and development pathways, while also recognising the volunteers and community members who contribute to the association.
