Perry lakes hawks appoints marcus embury as basketball high performance manager – girls

Perry Lakes Hawks are pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Embury as Basketball High Performance Manager – Girls.

Marcus brings a dynamic blend of elite-level coaching experience and a strong background in education and athlete development, having worked in NBL1, WNBL and Australian Opals environments.

He is currently the Women’s Head Coach for the Perry Lakes Basketball NBL1 team. His responsibilities have included scouting, gameday preparation, player skill development and advanced metric analysis.

Marcus’ coaching background also includes time with the Australian Opals, Townsville Fire, Bulleen Basketball, Kilsyth Basketball, Waverley Basketball and Solway Basketball.

With a teaching background and over a decade of coaching experience across junior and senior programs, Marcus is known for his ability to build strong relationships with athletes. He has also developed extensive experience in opposition scouting, performance analysis, game day preparation and the creation of high-performance environments centred on building athlete growth and team success.

In the role, Marcus will support player pathways, talent identification, coach education, representative program standards and alignment between WABL and NBL1 programs.

He will work with coaches to support emerging athletes and players pursuing Basketball WA State programs, national pathways, academies, college basketball and professional opportunities.

Perry lakes hawks appoints nic vlahov as basketball high performance manager – boys

Perry Lakes Hawks are pleased to announce the appointment of Nic Vlahov as Basketball High Performance Manager – Boys.

Nic brings experience across coaching, player development, talent identification, video analysis and pathway programs, having worked in NBL, WNBL, NBL1 and Basketball WA State Team environments.

He is currently an Assistant Coach of the Hawks NBL1 Men, NBL Video Coordinator intern with the Perth Wildcats and involved in the Basketball WA State Teams Men’s Program.

Nic’s coaching background also includes time with the Perth Lynx WNBL program, Joondalup Wolves NBL1 Men and Joondalup WABL program.

Across these environments, Nic has developed extensive experience in individual player development, opposition scouting, performance analysis, game day preparation and the creation of high-performance environments centred on accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.

In the role, Nic will support player pathways, talent identification, coach education, representative program standards and alignment between WABL and NBL1 programs.

He will work with coaches to support emerging athletes and players pursuing Basketball WA State programs, national pathways, academies, college basketball and professional opportunities.
