Australian Talent Ready to Shine in WA

Originally from South Australia, Huefner played juniors for the Norwood Flames and represented his state at national underage level before heading to the U.S. for college basketball. Now, he brings his interstate experience and international pedigree to Western Australia as part of the Hawks’ 2026 roster build.

Hawks’ Vision for 2026

Hawks Head Coach Ben Peterson said Huefner’s signing is a key step in building a competitive roster:
“Cam is a proven competitor who can stretch the floor, defend multiple positions. His experience at the NCAA level, success in NBL1, and development with the Wildcats make him a perfect fit for what we’re building in 2026.”

With Huefner on board, the Hawks are signalling their intent to return to finals contention and elevate their game. Fans can expect a player who thrives under pressure and adds depth to both ends of the court.

Welcome to the Hawks family, Cam!
