Perry Lakes Hawks Appoint Ben Peterson as Men’s NBL1 Head Coach for 2026 & 2027
The Perry Lakes Hawks are proud to announce the appointment of Ben Peterson as Head Coach of the Men’s NBL1 team for the upcoming 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Ben joins the Hawks with a rapidly growing reputation as one of basketball’s emerging coaching talents. Ben has already made a significant impact in elite basketball environments across multiple continents.
Originally from the United States, Peterson began his coaching journey after graduating from the University of Redlands. He quickly joined the Perth Wildcats as a Video Coordinator and Player Development Assistant, where his attention to detail and ability to connect with players earned him a promotion to Assistant Coach ahead of the NBL25/26 season.
His coaching résumé also includes:
- Assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers as a Player Development Intern during NBA Summer League.
- An Assistant Coach role with the Otago Nuggets in New Zealand’s NZNBL.
Ben’s appointment marks a new chapter for the Hawks, bringing fresh energy, international experience, and a player-focused approach to the men’s program. His commitment to development and performance aligns strongly with the Hawks’ values and long-term vision.
