Desired Board Skills & Expertise
The PLHBA Board seeks candidates who can contribute to its diverse skill set. While not mandatory, experience in a combination of the following areas is highly valued:
- Governance, Legal & Risk Management
- Finance, Accounting & Fundraising
- Information Technology (IT) & Digital Strategy
- Marketing, Communications & Sponsorship
- Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordination
- Strategic Planning & Performance Monitoring
- Facility Management & Infrastructure Development
- Leadership Experience in Basketball
The PLHBA Board (with input from BWA representative) will provide recommendations to the members who they consider to be the most suitable applicants.
